By introducing an AC motor inverter driver paired with an intelligent controller, communicating through a custom RS-485\/Serial communication protocol. Speed control and DC braking are attained without replacing the AC induction motor to a new DC motor. A solar powered battery backup system was added as a renewable source of reserve energy to help ensure functionality during frequent power outages.
